Where to begin?

The classic answer: at the beginning.

What is the beginning? In a long process that one only becomes aware of over time it is difficult to tell. One grasps the reins of his own reality and origins become questionable. Time is not what we were taught to believe. Neither is reality.

Mayhap I get ahead of myself.

This is not just some philosophical rant. This a guidebook. This is an operational manual.

The human mind is amazing in its ability to meld around changes in reality. Over and over I've seen huge transformations in people and the world in general. Most people's minds accept that that's the way things have been all along. If they have any memory of the old way it tend to be vague and unsure.

Here's a big one. Recently, there was a big International funeral for Nelson Mandela. Perhaps you remember it? Now here's one for you. Anyone else remember previous times when Nelson Mandela died? No? Yes? Have a vague feeling that someone famous had passed, so you are surprised to hear of his death? The normal thing to do is to assume you must have been wrong. What if you were right? What if you had earlier experienced some different version of reality?

To give credit where it is due, Starfire Tor http://starfiretor.com/ made the concept more well known. While I disagree with much of her ideas, she does have some good observations. Reality is rewritten all the time. Reality shifts are more noticeable when they concern famous people. Once a person becomes aware of these little glitches in the universe, the easier they are to remember. Our minds no longer rewrite our memories to fit the new facts.

Did you ever have a disagreement with someone about something that happened in the past? Both of you were sure that your version of events was the correct one. What if you are both right? What if each of you experienced different versions of reality? Another possibility is that one of you had a mental rewrite that the other, for whatever reason, did not experience.

This brings in the whole parallel worlds theory. There's the idea that every decision branches reality of into multiple dimensions. More on that later.

As for now, take a deep breath and relax.
